  1. Lovely Christmassy displays. I know what you mean - I've had to buy a second tree because I have so many tree ornaments.

    1. Sulky, I admire your commitment to tree ornaments. One can never have too many. Being an old woman, er Bird, I have lost count of our number of trees - 7 or 8 I think. Not that I use all of them every year - ha ha!

    2. Two trees ! I can't believe it ! We don't celebrate Christmas but I'm determined this year to pay it some kind of homage with a bit of decorating, it's so beautiful !

    3. The decorating is fun, S.Bunny. I have one Major Tree, and lots of little ones with different themes. It is my nonsensical artistic expression for the season!

  2. Yeah for Christmas! I wish my husband would agree to an artificial tree, so we could have it up earlier. All the red pictures are so cheery. Thanks!

    1. Hi Beryl, fresh trees are lovely, but they wilt and die within days in our hot summers. Hence the artificial. Enjoy your real tree - at least over there you might get a few weeks out of it??

  3. Nice christmas photos of whats in the shops. Here too the shops have some lovely things on show.
I start to decorate around the 12 th of december. So still a month to go.
This year I am keeping it simple with a modern twist. We are all having christmas at my son's estate.. 30 of us in the two families..
I love the white candles and the white father christmas.
    happy days Patricia.

  4. Hi Val, I like the sound of simple and modern twist. I do hope you share with us. As I go through my decorations I am doing a declutter, and will pass some on to another life in a charity shop. My parents Christmas stuff all ended up here with mine! I love a white father christmas too. xxx

  5. Does this mean that you are starting decorating the tree already?????????
I think that our stores start to sell Xmas stuff seriously Nov.24th. onwards.
Now would be the perfect time to go shopping ( if you like shopping ), before the big rush.

    1. Yes, I am a Christmas Tragic Mette. Usually I do it all in October when the new stuff appears in the shops. I enjoy the fun of creating different vignettes round the house, mixing and matching my old bits and pieces and adding a few new. I have started Christmas shopping, too. As you say, before the rush!

  7. Is there anything else like red? No, nothing. Beautiful pictures. You can have as many red cardinals as the tree will hold! Wait, don't tell me; you DO have a tree totally dedicated to red cardinals, don't you?? What fun.

  8. I absolutely love those red cardinals.
I am so excited, I love Christmas, though the journey is always better than the reality.

    1. Absolutely, Tabitha, it is all about the journey. Red cardinals were magnificent (apart from the one who keeled over!)

  9. Hmmm, good question Valerie. I suspect 'proper' Christmas decorating is done the week before Christmas, when my mother used to do it. Glad to hear you are doing twinkler lights - Excellent! I like to play with the event for weeks and weeks, a bit at a time ...

  10. Love the red! I don't start on Christmas until Thanksgiving is over but it is nice to store up some inspiration.

  11. satta king your business with article marketing, begin by simply writing down your thoughts. Don't pay attention to your grammar or spelling, Play Bazar just write as if you were talking to someone. Once you are finished, go back and edit for clarity. Over time, you should be able to produce a short article in less than half an hour.
