WHO AM I KIDDING?

My daughter lives in a small, historical town a short distance from Ottawa.
There are many interesting old Victorian houses in her neighbourhood...

and I am now in love with lilac - having never seen it blooming before!

Oh, who am I kidding?
It is all about the grandchildren - and time with their Mommie, our dear daughter!

,We are completely infatuated with these two gorgeous children, and have blissfully immersed ourselves totally in their daily existence....

Little Bebe turned six months yesterday, and was duly acknowledged by cupcake - as you do...

We have been to the reptile zoo, and the Petit Garcon was most fascinated:

We lunched at the local Irish pub,

and I learnt that icecream and gummie worms is a valid dessert - Who knew?

Last night Mommie suggested "Let's watch Toy Story 3"

and guess who was first to cheer 'YAY!"

mmm,  actually, it was moi..

Off to Montreal on the weekend..

Bonjour for now

xxxxx

  1. Oh what a lovely baby!! How exciting for you to get to spend time with him, his brother and your daughter. What fun you must be having.

And lilacs are wonderful too, aren't they? A smell that's a bit like heaven.

    Enjoy your visit to Montreal.

  5. It sounds wonderful.... and apart from the obvious delights you are experiencing with the children....isn't lilac wonderful. I have 3 lilac trees here in France, but arrived just too late to see the blossom this year. I adore them.
Continue having a glorious time..... as if anything else is possible ! Jx

    1. Ah, so lilac flowers in France also. Sorry you missed their blossoms, which are extraordinarily beautiful, I think. Planning to continue to have fun with the littlies, and a bit of grown-up time thrown in! x

    1. We are having our yearly quota of time with the little ones, all at once, and are making the most of it! I hate snakes, so I was the one back in second row taking the photos. I see more than enough snakes at home.

We have lilacs over here too, but since spring was late, they are far from blooming.

  10. You are obviously having the most wonderful time with your precious family, Patricia, and I can imagine how much you're enjoying all the little details of your grandsons' lives. I love lilac too, but ours is late this year, like everything else.... :-)

    1. I don't know if the lilacs here are late, because they had the same long winter as the UK, but I am glad they are coming out just in time for us to enjoy. The daffodils are about finished here, but I see the iris are now popping up. I love it all! The little boys continue to delight. :)

  12. You have to be a boy to appreciate the snakes and want to handle them. It's in the DNA. Eeeekkkk!

I love the houses and charm of the town.
