  1. Dearest Sheri,
Just got home from a memorable Tenebrae where I for the first time after 6 weeks sang in the chancel choir. We had piano, organ, and oboe accompanying us. Pieter also attended and it was meaningful.
Tomorrow I will be one of the readers at the noon service of our Roman Catholic Church and extinguish a candle and again be a reader of one of Jesus' seven last words at the 3:00 PM service.
Sunday again in the chancel choir and we end with Händel's Hallelujah. Have done this now for a couple of years so even if I only went last night for a 2–hour choir practice and on Sunday we will practice before Mass with the orchestra—it is something I so love doing! Pieter of course will join the congregation.
Happy Easter to you and yours!
    Hugs,
    Mariette

    1. How wonderful to sing at all the Easter ceremonies, especially to end with the Hallelujah chorus. One of the most exciting things I have ever sung too :) Happy Easter.

  3. Dear Patricia,
I have to tell you that I thought of you at my son's wedding, I so much wish I could describe dresses the way that you do! Do you remember wearing special Easter dresses when you were a kid? I do, I loved it so.
Easter blessings to you and yours, my friend!

    1. I love that you had Easter dresses. I do not remember that in Australia, but we did wear our 'good' white dresses and white veils to Mass, at Easter and other good occasions. However, I remember the pastel coloured Easter eggs very well indeed! Blessings back to you dear Kay.
