Greetings Dear Readers from beautiful Vienna.
The sun is shining and we are out and about, trying to cram a lifetime of memories into a few days:
Palaces and Princesses:
Fabulous Old Masters:
Pieter Brueghel 'The Hunters in the Snow' |
and the artists of the Vienna Secession:
Gustav Klimt is everywhere -
of course we went to see 'The Kiss' at the Belvedere:
It is possible I may have succumbed to the allure of a cheap souvenir scarf reproduction...
St Stephen's Cathedral, with its amazing tiled roof
We have eaten Strudel, and Schnitzel...
Taken a carriage ride, and enjoyed a jolly Strauss and Mozart concert in a Palace...
Mozart lived here, in a third floor apartment for about three years.
Now it is another of the dozens of fascinating museums in the City Centre.
Off to Berlin tomorrow....
Take care xxxx
