TWO FOR TEA AND TEA FOR TWO

Michelle is looking trim for Spring in a blue Michael Kors boucle sheath dress..

and I have been having lots of tea and coffee catch-ups with various girlfriends... all of whom are Absolute Treasures in my life.
You know who you are!!

My dear friend J, famous award-winning dessert chef extraordinaire,
invited me over for a personal High Tea for Two...

Look at the dainty morsels she whipped up:

Reader, it was beyond delicious!
J, you are a true star...

Yesterday I met lovely A for coffee, and we did over the local thrift stores:

Behold, $5 purchases to add to my little boy toy collection...

Expecting Little Aussie in the next few days.
You can't have too many exciting new things to play and do.

Hope you are enjoying time with friends too ...

  1. What great toy finds - your grandson will be in Heaven when he see the new stuff. Your friend does a delicious looking tea, on such beautiful plates (Royal Albert?) The pink swirl topped cakes look mouthwatering.

    1. Pink swirl cakes were my favourite of the day, flavored with rosewater; yum. Yes, all Royal Albert, and I forgot to get a picture of the matching teapot, a real beauty.

  2. Now that is a tea to die for!! Everything looks absolutely beautiful and delicious. Lucky you. That dress looks amazing on Michele - as pretty as anything I've ever seen her wear.

Is it my imagination, or do I see a heart design in the froth on the coffee? What kind of rose is that? Love it!!

Toy heaven for your little boy for sure.

    1. Yes, a heart design in the coffee. A lot of baristas here do that these days - so attractive. As for the rose, it is a pretty one, but I rarely know the names of mine because the labels fall off or blow away! Look forward to handing over the new toys to the little one in a few days. I love it when he gets excited!

  3. Michelle is looking very sleek and slim - I do not think she has been indulging in too many tea parties with fancy cakes, tarts and delicate sandwiches.
Your little grandson will be thrilled with the thrift store buys.

    1. Tee hee, so true, no tea parties for Michelle! I had to have 2 walks yesterday and today just to square off with myself after all this indulgence. A week of austerity is now underway.

  8. What a lovely tea-time spread that looks. I love meeting up with a friend for a proper chin-wag and bite to eat - although in my case the drink is usually a bit stronger than tea or coffee! Love Michelle's dress.

    1. The chin-wag is essential - we solve the problems of the world, and hardly draw breath for 2 hours! Champagne is always a good addition to tea, methinks.

  9. Patricia, you do realise that if you have too many luscious teas and creamy coffees with your lovely friends, you're going to need a whole new wardrobe for your Canadian trip. :-) Those tea-time goodies looks fantastic.....

  12. I´m especially liking the way you set the pictures for this post.
The first three match so well in colors.
Then come the four rosy ones, followed by the wheat-based treats, with an interruption of the white flower, ending with the toys and the small boy playing with them.
    Good!

    1. Thanks Mette, I like playing around with colour and I am glad you noticed. When I saw the photo of Michelle in the pale blue dress I immediately thought of those blue coffee cups we drank from the other day! All part of the fun of the blog.
