Hello, Dear Readers, and Fellow Bloggers...
After a week spent de-briefing myself from my legal experience,
Red Cardinal is Back to Business...
which is writing a blog about Absolutely Nothing, really...
Found a new piece for the milk glass collection, while we were out adventuring with my Dad, the 92 year old Superstar!
He found a friendly dog in the cafe, and had the best time petting it..
Dad likes nothing better than a Cappuccino and a scone & jam.
Easily pleased, is Dad.
Mr C, on the other hand, is partial to these, and makes quite a welter of it during Lent.
Ha, they'll be gone next week.
Nameless Yellow bush is putting on an Easter Show, and attracting the lorikeets.
Crazy birds not the least bit disturbed by the loss of a family member to that snake the other week.
Snake has not been seen again, although there have been a few odd thuds in the roof space.. hmmm
Swatting up on my Fractured French...
Adios, Amigos!!
Oops, Non, that would be Spanish, it would ..
Bonsoir! :)
It is lovely to be busy doing nothing. It sounds as if you have been celebrating the end of the legal affairs in fine style, carry on ejoying. J.
ReplyDeleteThanks Janice, yes we have celebrated discreetly - I even had a little champagne, rare for me these days!
DeleteLove your new glass, very pretty. It really is the small things that make us happy. Now I want a hot cross bun!
ReplyDeleteGlad you spotted the new little blue bird - $12, and brings me joy. Hot cross buns are hard to resist!
DeleteI like this post Patricia..
ReplyDeleteJust a simple post of our daily nothings.
I am having a blogging block.
I think its the weather.. Its still raining here.
I have ordered hot cross buns.. from an english shop.. Hope I get them this weekend.
Pleased you are finished with the awful legal mess.
Lots of hot coffee, blue birds and red cardinals singing..
wishing you a Happy Blessed Easter.
val
Dear Val, glad you like my random post. I have been in a blogging block for a week - sensitive souls, aren't we? Sometimes a bit of a downer in the weather does that, I find. I do hope the English buns arrive for Easter - they will be Yummy! Happy Blessed Easter to you too. I'll be singing with the choir this year - Wonderful!
DeleteEnjoyed your "nothings". Kind of like stopping in for coffee, no reason, just visiting a friend. I really like your milk glass, I have a small collection myself.
ReplyDeleteDarla
Dear Darla, I like your thinking - yes, drop in for a visit - that is how we operate :) Milk glass is highly stylish, you must show your collection to us one day.
DeletePatricia, I love your idea of nothing and you deserve it after all the legal business. Your Dad is a person of taste. :-) I have a husband who loves hot cross buns too and is without until I make him some in time for Friday.
ReplyDeleteI do like my nothings to be pretty, Perpetua. Surrounded by a few cheap pieces of coloured glass and I am a happy little birdy. Possibly a magpie. You make hot cross buns? That is seriously impressive - ours most definitely come from a supermarket.
DeleteSo do ours normally, Patricia, but needs must when one is snowed-in at Easter. :-) I make the dough in the bread machine and then knead in the fruit before proving and baking.
DeleteThanks Valerie, that is so sweet... choc studded hot cross bun!!! Why wasn't I told????? Happy Easter!

ReplyDeletePatricia, I really like this kind of post! Randomness is good at times; sharing another side of ourselves Glad to see your Dad is doing well and I know he must have enjoyed the outing with you. And you know I love that dog he's petting. Enjoy your hot cross buns and have a wonderful Easter.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sanda, embracing Randomness for Easter. We will take Dad out again on Easter Sunday which is likely to be very random! You have a wonderful Easter, too.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter! I'm with your dad here, can't resist a good cream tea! x
ReplyDeleteTwo heart by-pass surgeries don't stop him, either! x
DeleteHappy Easter Patricia your pictures are beautiful today. We have been enjoying choc chip hit cross buns but I have to agree with your Dad nothing beats a scone !!! Enjoy the rest of the weekend . shell xxxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Shell, Choc chip buns sounds deliciously decadent, but might be a stretch too far for moi! Happy Easter xxxx
DeleteBeautiful roses! You Dad's scone looks pretty good. Do all the dogs love him like that one did? He must be quite the Sweetie!
ReplyDeleteHi Beryl, thank, we have a few roses blooming for Easter. Dad has a way with animals, and charms most of them. He had a pet possum which he hand fed when he lived at home. And of course, he feeds birds too, even at the retirement home, having bird seed tucked away in his room. He has dementia, but this has not dimmed his love of all creatures! Happy Easter!
