GOSSIP

My mother called these Gossip Chairs ...
They have been in the family all my life, and who knows how long before that ..

They came to our nest, when my Dad moved into his retirement village,
and they were in rather a sorry state of repair.
But not any more - today I collected them from the upholsterer,
and I love the results.

Here's another look:

Plain white linen, left over from covering our other chairs,
gives a base palette for some cushioning action!

Can you guess what this is?
We've been to the Qld Museum to see Afghanistan: Hidden Treasures from the National Museum, Kabul.
Hundreds of priceless antiquities were preserved from the Taliban by brave staff at the Museum in Kabul, and now safely retrieved, they are being shown around the world.
Above is a cardboard replica of a golden crown, on show as part of a room full of golden treasures found in recent years in 2,000 years old royal graves.

I loved it!  The ancients had quite a flair for gold and turquoise earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and headdresses; and its all here on display for a few months.

Our Australian grandson, Little Aussie, has been living interstate this year, and we have not seen him for quite a few months.

This week we had a very happy day with him, at his other Grandma's farm.
Aussie now has his own pet puppy!

and we took him out for Fish and Chips and fun-in-a-park!

Such a big boy, he is now Four - where does the time go?

Grandchildren:  More precious than gold ...

Have a beautiful weekend
