NATURE AND FAMILIES

I love this view of the Mountains..so rugged and majestic, with a storm brewing in the distance.

Later, there was hail..

We took Dad here the other day, for his drive-in-the-country.

Back at the Red Cardinal nest, our gum tree had a few blossoms..

and a Lot of Lorikeets arrived to demolish them..

It was all over in about 15 minutes;
they can be quite greedy little birdies...

Spring is still springing, but Summer days are forecast for next week..

Because it has been school holidays, we took Little Aussie to see Dinosaur Discovery at the Queensland Museum..

I was pretty scared, especially when we came to the lifesized T-Rex..
All that roaring and gnashing of teeth - animatronics are incredible these days.

We also made cup cakes, read books, played Lego, and had a Disco Dance in the living room.
I was so exhausted I slept for 11 hours after he went home..

After that it was positively peaceful when the Sewing Sisters came for a visit.
With lunch..

and cake..

Oh, and maybe a little bit of stitching was done too.

I made a runner from old doilies, many of them donated by very nice friends.
They are held together with a few strategic stitches, and when I get tired of it, I can reverse engineer and re-use them in another project.

Thank you all for your kind comments on my last post.  I have been unwell, on and off, and it is lovely to have a cheer-squad..

Having a blog is such a good way of counting my blessings..
