  3. The stocking is absolutely gorgeous as are all of your decorations! Of course, the star of the show is..............your stocking, not my snowman! Thank you so much for showing it though. Wishing you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas, big hug! Suzy xo

  7. Since you are waking first on the Christmas Eve morning, wishing you a Merry Christmas. In Finland we follow you a bit later.
From your chosen Xmas items, only one is familiar in our country. The gingerbread house. They were popular in my youth - probably because it took an awful lot of time and patience to get one finished.
A conspiracy by the parents to keep the anxious children occupied while waiting for Xmas Eve ; )!

    1. Hello Mette, yes we are one of the first countries in the world to meet the new dawn. Today I assemble the gingerbread house, which will be hopefully a success! It is a special request from Little Aussie.
The other items we feature probably come from the English traditional Christmas.
Wishing you a Merry (and white?) Christmas in Finland!

  9. And Merry Christmas to you as well, Trish...Loved your tour of all the Christmas decorations. And the red cardinal on white in the last one is really beautiful. My favorite bird, and the state bird of Illinois where I was born.

    1. Thank you Linda, the cardinal picture is a cross-stitch I worked a few years ago. I like it very much too. My travelling life has been a continuous search to see a red cardinal in reality - no luck thus far, but you never know, 2015 might be the year!

  15. I love your new pink stocking, Patricia. I have to get a new one next year because the hanging part on mine fell off. I really like gingerbread this time of year. Your petunias are lovely. I can't wait to plant some flowers at our new house next spring. Suzy's snowman is sweet, and she's such a good blog friend. I think this is one of my favorite posts, Patricia. It's simple and so delightful. I hope you had the merriest Christmas.

    love,
