PURPLE

Our purple Violas and Pansies have bloomed this week, just in time for Passion Week on the Christian calendar...

At last we have a hint of Autumn in the air, and I think the flowers appreciate it too, after our record-hot Summer..

Today is Holy Thursday, and we had a gathering of friends from our Garden Club, who came for a morning tea.

Everyone was interested to see our new house, admire the garden and make suggestions.

I was very excited when our first Camellia of the season burst forth on one of the trees in our front Courtyard.  There are five Camellia bushes and all are covered in buds.
I wonder if they will all be pink, or whether some white might appear on some of the trees.  This is the fun part of buying a house with an existing garden...

Wishing you all a Happy, Healthy and Holy Easter

  1. Lovely flowers and photos, Trish. How lovely to have friends to celebrate Maundy Thursday with you! That must give extra meaning to Easter! Wishing you a lovely weekend and I'll look forward to your next posts now your winter is approaching. It's spring here, but it's still very cold, so send some of that warmth our way. :)

    1. It was very nice to have our friends here, and unusual for us not to spend Maundy Thursday out at the shops! I hear they were bedlam yesterday as the petrol crisis is making us all quite mad. Sending some warmth over to you :)

  2. Your flowers are so beautiful! I sure looks like things are coming along beautifully Trish. Your tea looks wonderful!! We are currently still dealing with winter as it's blizzarding right now in the northwoods! Ugh! Spring will show up eventually. Lol I hope you have a lovely and cool Autumn season there. The Lord is so good -and even though we're not worthy of Him, I'm so grateful He loves us anyways and walks beside us always. Wishing you and your family a very blessed Easter dear Friend. ✝️🌸

    1. Thank you Carrie, we are very pleased to finally have some nice flowers coming out in the garden. The tea was great and they all brought wonderful Easter goodies for the table. And you are having a blizzard! I read about them in the Little House on the Prairie books and could hardly believe how awful it can be. Take care and be cosy and safe. Good Friday today and we are being quiet at home. Easter Blessings back to you. xoxox

  3. Your purple flowers are coming along nicely.....and my favorite color at that. So nice that you had a gathering of friends over to see your new house. The spread looks festive and scrumptious. The camellias are pretty as well, and such a pretty color.

    Happy Easter to you, Patricia.

    1. I remember you love purple and always enjoy your purple pieces at Lent and Easter time. It was our first gathering of friends since we moved, and it was very successful. They were all enthusiastic about the new house. Happy Easter Sheri.
