ORIENTAL OR ARABIAN: or just the Global Village

At last the Red Cardinal adventure has begun -
with a quick visit to Hong Kong: our first...

Across the magnificent harbour on the Star Ferry - obligatory..

A visit to the Ladies Markets - I bought a 'jade' bangle...

And learned I am hopeless at haggling..

Off to Dubai, flying across India for the first time:

Burj Khalifa - the world's tallest building.
See it in the distance, below:

Our room overlooks the Dubai Creek, bustling with beautiful dhows...

Blogging on my husband's notebook is a little difficult...
I will save the fascinating detail of Dubai for blogs when I get back to Australia.
But for now, over and out and onward bound....
to Paris!!

Bonjour
xxxx

  6. Such excitement, Patricia! I'm glad the beginning of your adventure has been a success. I know from experience it's a bit of a pain to blog while on a trip, but it's worth it in the end because it's so nice to have it to read back over once you are home again.

  8. Hong Kong looks fascinating. I am also hopeless at haggling - which I have always blamed on working too long in retail, where the price is really the price, not a suggested starting place. You're off the Paris and my daughter got on the plane this morning at Charles de Gaulle to fly home - just missing each other.
