HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW?

Don't know about everyone else, but I loved Michelle's Easter coat and dress -
black rose on white ..

I knew I was onto something when I made this dress last October.

And speaking of Easter, consider this delicious white chocolate Easter bunny, a gift from our son the Rocket Scientist..
Well, my girlfriends were coming over and Bunny was sacrificed, melted into one gorgeous white chocolate cake...

Mary McKillop rose is blooming again - which is very soothing, given my well-known affection for the colour Pink...

It is possible I may be making one or more of these items;
but certain little people might be looking at this blog...

A cosy warm wool knit dress invited itself home with me the other day ..
a bit Mondrian don't you think?

Take care and be good!

  1. You are way ahead in the fashion stakes, and I love your Mondrian inspired dress.
I bet the cake was delicious, and I notice that you have a good basil plant -I have just made mine into three separate lots of pesto which we love.

    1. Can't wait to wear the Mondrian dress, Rosemary, and it looks like time to make pesto here, too.

  2. What a lot of lovely pictures. Beautiful flowers. Your Roses dress is so different with the solid color side panels - I just love it. That new dress is quite attractive and with your Winter coming, a cosy wool dress will be just perfect.

    1. Dark side panels are my new style secret! I'm working on one with shaped pieces on each side, giving the illusion of the waist I do not have..

  3. You and Michelle certainly have style ! I love the rose dress, as well as the Mondrian one. I do feel a little sad about the melted rabbit, although I'm sure the cake was very good.Jx

    1. I love Michelle's style Janice, even if she is tall and athletic, and I am, mmmm, Not! Yes, a bit sad watching rabbit melt but restrained myself from taking pictures, despite subversive encouragement from Mr C. xx

  4. Nothing grows in my garden, as we received a fresh sheet of snow today, shame.
But I do like the rose dresses. And the knit dress is definitely your style.
Looking at your pictures, it is difficult to believe, that you are towards autumn over there!

    1. Oh no, more snow, dear Mette! At this rate there will be no spring until summertime. I love my rose dress, and can't wait to sally forth in the Mondrian. Yes, Autumn is in the air round here.

  6. Michelle is just copying your style, Patricia! I love your knit dress, very chic. My garden doesn't have a single flower in it yet. Roll on Summer, I say.

    1. Thanks Shell, Mr C will fall about laughing at the domestic goddess idea, but I am happy to be called one. Love my noir and blanc, too.

  8. Your rose dress is very stylish. I don't sew and am always impressed by those who do. The wool dress will be perfect this winter, I'll bet you get lots of wear out of it.

    Any cake left?

    1. Ah, but you are sooo creative in the artistic area, Darla! I was sewing before I went to school, if my memory serves me correctly. Started with bits of dolls clothes. Cake went in one day, last piece saved for Mr C!

  9. Gosh, you are a real fashion plate, Patricia! The Mondrian dress is so striking. I will confess to not having a clue what celebrities wear, so it's a good thing I can rely on others to show me. :-)

As for how does my garden grow - not at all, except for the daffodils. sigh....

    1. Mmmm, fashion plate is appealing :)
And in a triumph of hope over experience, I bought some daffodil bulbs today, on the off-chance I might succeed with a few daffodils during the colder months. Sometimes I manage three or four blooms!!

    1. So funny, we both getting into the garden about now, despite the opposing seasons. See above re daffodils. I also have sweet pea seeds about to go in. Our winter is the only time cool enough for delicate flowers. Happy gardening!
