Hello Patricia:We wish you much love and happiness too on St. Valentine's Day.Mr. Red Cardinal's flowers are lovely. What joy!
Hello Jane and Lance, our traditional celebration began over 40 years ago, when we worked in the same office. A tiny valentine card arrived for me ... and the rest is history!
Lucky you - beautiful flowers from Mr. Cardinal! I love your selection of Hearts - that's my favourite shape and I have lots of little heart-shaped boxes that my Mr has given me over the years. Enjoy your Valentines!
The flowers are really pretty, Sulky. I love a heart-shape too and your boxes sound delightful. Perhaps you will receive another today? xx
Lovely pictures, Patricia, especially your flowers from Mr Cardinal. I've given up hoping for flowers from my DH. He just doesn't do Valentine's Day or cut flowers....... :-)
Valentine's day is my best hope of flowers round here! And I make a sponge cake in those heart-shaped tins - that's the deal ...:)
Ooo, I haven't resorted to bribery yet, but it might just work.... :-)
Definitely worth a try, Perpetua!
Well done to Mr. Red Cardinal - they are few and far between.Actually H is taking me out for lunch tomorrow and if the sun comes out we shall visit a NT property.
Thanks Rosemary, I'll tell Mr C he is a rarity. Lunch and a NT property - that is my idea of a perfect day out: enjoy..off to make the heart-shaped cake now ..
What a nice heart collection you have. Your flowers are so pretty! Hope your day was wonderful. I have a promise of lunch out Saturday as a delayed Valentine celebration. Flowers? Will have to wait and see!
Thank you Sanda, I didn't realise how many hearts there were around the house until I started running around with the camera! We had a fun day, and enjoyed the cake. Hope you received some flowers, and lunch Saturday sounds good to me!
What a lovely collage, cake for flowers is an excellent barter system!
Works for me, Tabitha, and I get to eat half the cake, too :)
Wonderful hearts for Valentines Patricia! You've got a good system going. We will celebrate our 43rd in a couple of months...where did those years go? LOL!!!
I know, where indeed? Just worked out it is 43 years since we met ...
